Bum Marketing was created by Travis Sago and released to the public in 2007. Travis developed the Bum Marketing Method out of his own frustration in trying to make a full time living from home to improve the quality of life for his family.
Bum Marketing is a strategy of generating affiliate commissions by writing keyword rich articles in less competitive niches. The system is intended to give affiliate marketers an easy, low-cost way to generate affiliate commissions by using nothing more than the time it takes to write articles.
Getting traffic to your affiliate website in markets that are very competitive is one of the key ingredients and also one of the most challenging aspects of becoming a successful internet marketer. Travis realized that he was fighting an uphill battle trying to rank for competitive keywords in the major search engines and decided to take a different approach.
The basic premise behind Bum Marketing is that it is much easier to rank for less competitive keywords in a shorter period of time than for more competitive keywords.
Here is a quick summary of the Bum Marketing Method:
- Perform detailed keyword research to find a low competition niche that still has good search demand.
- Locate an affiliate program or product that can be promoted to the niche.
